Abstract
Startle epilepsy is provoked by unexpected sensory stimuli, mainly auditory, and reveals
subsequent tonic posturing of the limbs. We present a case of intractable startle
epilepsy with infantile hemiplegia and discuss the indications for a hemispherotomy.
